When I first started putting together my vision of the IPPC, I knew that I wanted a curriculum designed with a focus on learning and growth. But I also knew that what really brings a learning plan to life and gives it its full value is the right roster of instructors and coaches.

When curating the IPPC team, I looked for many factors that would all work together to provide an integrated educational and inspirational experience. I wanted to bring together a group of people who can effectively equip and guide other coaching professionals, leaders, entrepreneurs, therapists, and human resources professionals.

Education

Our faculty members all have M.Sc./MA/PhD-level education in positive psychology, coaching psychology, or psychology. They are all experts in their respective fields and topics, and their expertise and experience are well-matched to the courses they teach. As well, all of our coaches and mentors are graduates of the M.Sc. program in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching.

Experience

For our instructors, not only do we require a hybrid of experience as scholars in the fields of positive psychology coaching, positive psychology, coaching psychology, and/or psychology, they also must have teaching and lecturing experience. They’re skilled at connecting the dots, understanding theories, and applying them seamlessly in their work and life.

That means they’re not just academics, researchers and scholars, but also seasoned practitioners. Our instructors have worked as coaches, mentors, therapists, and educators in diverse fields. Their experience with applying theory to practice is a crucial element of our integrated approach to positive psychology coaching. You can’t teach what you don’t know, and you can’t share authentically about the life of a coach without having lived the life yourself.

Our coaches and mentors have wide-ranging and diverse coaching experience in different industries and populations, each with an average of 15-20 years of experience and have their own private practices! They all have in-depth and formal training in both positive psychology and coaching psychology, and they know many effective ways to employ evidence-based coaching techniques.

Ethos

Above all, our instructors and coaches are kind, generous, gifted, and lovely people who value uplifting others, being of service, and making a difference. Their way of being is a great match for the ideals and ethos of the IPPC – and hopefully for you, too!
